The Junction Early Learning Centre

This project included the adaptive reuse of a heritage listed building to house a new 58 place child care centre, a new structure positioned behind the heritage building consisting of 2 levels was constructed, this space was deliberately designed to contrast with the heritage building, utilising a robused exposed off form concrete structure with dark vertical cladding. Construction was challenged by the lack of free space as the new building occupied 90 percent of the site. The combination of metal and timber cladding required the PDA Building team to show immense attention to detail to ensure a very high quality and desirable building.
